Ukrainian forces liberate 480 sq km on Oleksandrivka axis – CinC Syrskyi
He said this in an interview with ICTV, Ukrinform reports.
"Success lies precisely in the liberation of territory. As of today, this amounts to 480 square kilometers. This exceeds the results we achieved during the Dobropillia counteroffensive operation. If you recall, during that operation we liberated more than 430 square kilometers," Syrskyi said.
He added that since March 1, Russian forces had planned to launch a large-scale offensive across all 13 key axes. However, prior to that, the enemy was forced to adjust its plans and redeploy part of its forces and assets from the Pokrovsk and Ocheretyne axes to the Oleksandrivka axis.
Since the beginning of the day, Russian troops have carried out 46 attacks on Ukrainian defensive positions, with the heaviest fighting recorded on the Pokrovsk axis.
