AFU deny Russian claims of capturing Kivsharivka in Kharkiv region

Ukrinform
The Ukrainian Armed Forces have refuted Russian claims that they had captured Kivsharivka in the Kharkiv region and have shown captured invaders who were attempting to raise their flag in the town.

According to Ukrinform, the 43rd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Army’s Ground Forces stated on Telegram: “Kivsharivka has been ‘taken.’ At least, according to reports from the Russian Ministry of Defense. On the ground, things are a bit different. It seems the experience of Kupiansk and Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi taught them nothing. Even after all the ‘debriefings’ in the ‘West’ group—the scenario is the same: paint a picture of victory, and then see how it goes.”

Roman Kovalyov, commander of the 43rd Mechanized Brigade’s motorized infantry battalion, noted that the outcome for the “captured” Kivsharivka is as follows: four invaders killed and six more captured (four on the spot, two more the day before).

Ukrainian defenders sent a special greeting to the Russian Federation’s 153rd Tank Regiment and advised them to load more ammunition and provisions onto their “flag-carriers” next time, since the prisoners need to be fed.

As reported by Ukrinform, Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the Joint Forces Operation, stated that a small number of Russian troops are in Kupiansk, surrounded by the ruins of a hospital.
