Guerrillas burn three electronic warfare antennas near Novgorod
According to Ukrinform, ATESH reported this on Telegram.
The towers in question are located in the Okhvat area of the Tver region, as well as in Demyansk and Valday in the Novgorod region.
In coordination with the Ukrainian Defense Forces, on the eve of March 17, partisans carried out a series of simultaneous sabotage operations, resulting in the burning of the aforementioned facilities. This opened an air corridor for Ukrainian drones, allowing them to reach the aircraft repair plant in Staraya Russa unimpeded and strike it.
The plant in Staraya Russa (Novgorod region) specializes in the repair and maintenance of military transport aircraft for the Russian Aerospace Forces, specifically IL-76 and IL-78 aircraft, as well as D-30KP and AI-20 engines.
At the time of the strike, according to data from the ATESH movement, two A-50 long-range radar detection aircraft were on the plant’s premises—one of the most scarce types of equipment in the Russian Air Force.
Reconstruction will take months.
As reported by Ukrinform, on March 17, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck facilities at the 123rd Aircraft Repair Plant in Staraya Russa, Novgorod region, Russia.
