Fire breaks out at Russia’s Ust-Luga port after overnight drone attack

In Russia, the port of Ust-Luga has sustained damage following a nighttime drone attack.

The BBC reported this, citing local authorities, according to Ukrinform.

As a result of the UAV attack, there is damage at the port of Ust-Luga, and firefighters are currently extinguishing a fire there, said Alexander Drozdenko, head of the Leningrad Region.

According to him, 31 drones were reportedly shot down during the repulsion of the attack.

He added that there were no casualties.

As reported by Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the strike on the Novatek-Ust-Luga plant in the Leningrad region was a response to Russian strikes on Ukraine’s energy sector.
