New York Post: Ukraine kills over 6,000 Russian troops in four days, shifts course of war
According to Ukrinform, this is reported in a Thursday article in the New York Post titled “Ukraine Is Changing the Course of the War.”
It is noted that despite the harsh winter and record-breaking attacks by Russia, Ukraine was able to halt the advance of Russian troops employing “human wave” tactics.

In particular, last week near the village of Shandryholove, a group of 500 Russian infantrymen, equipped with dozens of armored vehicles, was destroyed.
Ukraine eliminated this assault unit using mines, mortars, artillery fire, and drones—without sending a single soldier to the front lines, the publication states.
The publication illustrated the article with photos of the Ukrainian ground-based robotic complex “Lut” and the P1-Sun drone interceptor
Russia is facing difficulties in its attempts to break through the so-called “belt of fortresses” in the Donetsk region, and, according to experts, capturing it by 2026 is unlikely, although the invaders may achieve isolated tactical successes at the cost of significant losses.
Ukraine’s ability to withstand the Russian offensive is attributed to its wartime innovations in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as its technology for countering enemy UAVs.
“Their level of innovation is simply off the charts,” U.S. Space Force Lieutenant General Stephen Whitney said Tuesday in Congress.
As reported by Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Defense Forces halted a major offensive by Russian invaders in the Pokrovsk area.
In February, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that since late January of this year, the Ukrainian Armed Forces had regained control of 400 km² of territory and eight settlements in the Oleksandrivka direction.
