95th Brigade commander: Enemy tactics unchanged in Oleksandrivka sector
The brigade commander, Colonel Ruslan Maryshev, spoke about this in an interview with Ukrinform.
“Currently, the situation in the Oleksandrivka sector is favorable for implementing the planned measures determined by senior leadership. Therefore, the brigade continues to conduct operations in accordance with the approved plan. We are imposing our own rules of engagement on the enemy, meaning we do not give them even a moment’s respite so they cannot bring up reserves or regroup,” Maryshev noted.
According to him, the enemy’s tactics there do not feature any new approaches that could surprise the Ukrainian military.
“They continue to send their troops in small or medium-sized groups on assaults that yield no results. Occasionally there are motorized groups, which our paratroopers also destroy. The enemy is unable to regain lost ground,” the brigade commander added.
The colonel emphasized that the Russians are not changing their philosophy of war or their combat doctrine. Their main tactic is to disregard human lives and any values.
As Maryshev noted, there are currently opportunities to continue the offensive operation in the Oleksandrivka sector.
“Opportunities always exist for those who seek them. This applies not only to Oleksandrivka but to all sectors along the front line. This is precisely where a significant part of the work of my command, my brigade headquarters, and battalions lies. Success achieved must always be built upon. If we fail to do so and allow the enemy to regroup, it could lead to casualties among our servicemen,” the commander said.
As reported by Ukrinform, 191 clashes between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian invaders were recorded on the front lines over the past 24 hours, on March 24.
