Russian strike on Dnipro: 14-story building damaged, seven injured

In Dnipro, a 14-story residential building was damaged as a result of a Russian strike. 

The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha, reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"The enemy attacked Dnipro. A 14-story building has been damaged," the post says.

According to Hanzha, the Russian strike damaged walls, balconies, windows, and the technical floor of the apartment building. Fires broke out on the top two floors.

All emergency services are working at the scene.

Later, Hanzha reported that three people were initially injured in the attack.

"Three people were injured as a result of the enemy attack on Dnipro. Medics are providing them with the necessary assistance," the post said.

Two of the victims were hospitalized in serious condition, he added.

They are a 67-year-old woman and a 74-year-old man. They suffered shrapnel wounds, lacerations, and traumatic brain injuries. They are receiving the necessary medical care.

Later, Hanzha updated that the number of injured had risen to seven.

"Seven people have now been injured as a result of the enemy attack on Dnipro. Four of them have been hospitalized. Two are in critical condition, and two others are in moderate condition," the post said.

The remaining victims are receiving outpatient treatment.

As reported earlier, Russian forces attacked the Nikopol and Synelnykove districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region more than 20 times, damaging civilian buildings and injuring an elderly woman.
