Iran launches nearly 30 missiles and drones at UAE today
The UAE Ministry of Defense stated this on the social network X, according to Ukrinform.
"The UAE air defence systems on 22th March 2026 engaged 4 ballistic missiles and 25 UAVs launched from Iran," the statement said.
It is noted that since the beginning of "blatant Iranian aggression," UAE air defenses have recorded 1,773 drones violating the country’s airspace, as well as 345 ballistic and 15 cruise missiles.
These attacks have resulted in the deaths of 2 servicemen and 6 civilians. A total of 160 people have been injured, ranging from minor to moderate and severe. Among the injured were citizens of the UAE, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Pakistan, Iran, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Yemen, Uganda, Eritrea, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Bahrain, the Comoros, Turkey, Iraq, Nepal, Nigeria, Oman, Jordan, Palestine, Ghana, Indonesia, Sweden, and Tunisia.
As Ukrinform reported, in response to attacks by the United States and Israel since February 28, Iran has carried out at least 4,382 strikes using missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles on U.S. bases and critical infrastructure in seven Arab countries, mainly in the Persian Gulf region.
