CinC Syrskyi: Russia plans to recruit 409,000 troops in 2026
According to Ukrinform, Syrskyi said this on Facebook.
He noted that with improving weather conditions, an uptick in enemy activity is being observed across the front.
Syrskyi held a meeting on the state of engineering fortifications along defensive lines. Key priorities include strengthening fortifications, enhancing anti-drone defenses, and preparing populated areas for defense.
Syrskyi heard reports from military commanders, leadership of the State Special Transport Service, and heads of regional military administrations.
"There are problematic issues – we have identified specific solutions and deadlines for their implementation. The quality and speed of this work determine not only the resilience of our defense but also the lives of our soldiers," Syrskyi said.
Syrskyi earlier visited certain areas of the Zaporizhzhia front, where Russian forces are concentrating significant manpower and equipment for offensive operations.
