Energy, industrial, and port infrastructure damaged in Odesa region following overnight Russian attack

The Russian troops launched strikes on the southern part of the Odesa region overnight, causing damage to energy, industrial, and port infrastructure.

According to Ukrinform, Oleg Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, reported this on Telegram.

“The premises of enterprises and some equipment were damaged,” he noted.

The head of the regional military administration stated that fires broke out following the enemy strike, but rescue workers quickly extinguished them. No civilians were injured.

In some settlements, power outages have been reported due to the attack. Critical infrastructure has been switched to backup power.

According to the Ministry for Development, a barge used in production processes was hit in southern Ukraine, and utility buildings at one of the ports were damaged.

As reported by Ukrinform, on the night of March 17, Air Defense Forces shot down more than 150 Russian drones in the skies over Ukraine. Twelve locations were hit.
