Air Defense Forces shot down 194 of 211 Russian drones

According to the report, starting at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, and throughout the morning of Monday, March 16, the enemy attacked Ukraine with 211 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas types, as well as other types of drones, from the following directions: Orel, Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russian Federation), as well as Hvardiiske (temporarily occupied Crimea). Over 100 of the drones were Shahed-type.
As noted by the Air Force, a distinctive feature was the enemy’s atypical morning attack using various types of strike drones toward the Kyiv region. The main targets of the strike were the Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, and Kyiv regions.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 16, Air Defense Forces shot down or neutralized 194 drones in northern, southern, and eastern Ukraine.
Sixteen combat UAVs hit 10 locations, and debris was found at 11 locations.
The Air Force also noted that the attack is ongoing, with several Russian UAVs currently in the airspace.
As reported by Ukrinform, on the morning of March 16, parts of Russian UAVs fell in the Solomianskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi districts of Kyiv.
