Russian troops drop four high-explosive aerial bombs on central Kramatorsk

According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Facebook by Head of the Kramatorsk City Military Administration Oleksandr Honcharenko, who also published photos of the aftermath.

According to him, on March 11 “Russian troops carried out an airstrike on the very heart of Kramatorsk. Powerful explosions were heard in the central part of the city, where administrative institutions, cultural facilities, and commercial sites are located alongside residential buildings. The enemy struck where peaceful urban life once thrived.”

Preliminary reports indicate that Russian forces used four 250-kilogram high-explosive aerial bombs equipped with unified gliding and correction modules.

One of the munitions struck a residential building directly.

As a result of the strike, nearly 50 facilities in the central part of the city were damaged, including residential buildings, administrative structures, educational institutions, and commercial establishments. Among the sites that sustained serious damage is the Palace of Culture and Creativity, a local architectural landmark and one of Kramatorsk’s most recognizable architectural features.

According to available information, only one person sought medical assistance.

Emergency crews are continuing to deal with the aftermath of the strike. Municipal services are working at the sites of the damage.

Representatives of utility companies are inspecting engineering infrastructure, assessing the scale of the damage, and carrying out urgent repair work.

“By striking the city center, destroying its recognizable architectural ensemble and historic buildings, Russia once again demonstrates that there is no talk of the so-called ‘liberation’ of Kramatorsk. There is only destruction, killings, and attempts to intimidate civilians. The enemy is wiping out everything it can reach, using the well-known ‘scorched earth’ tactics dating back to World War II,” Honcharenko stressed.

As reported by Ukrinform, on the night of March 7, Russian forces dropped a 500-kilogram bomb on the central part of Kramatorsk.
