Intelligence obtains documents on Russia's assessment of its losses on battlefield, Zelensky names figures
According to Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this on Telegram following a report by the chief of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, Oleh Ivashchenko.
“In their classified official reports, the Russians themselves estimate their irrecoverable losses at 1 million 315 thousand killed and seriously wounded. We have reason to believe that these figures are understated,” Zelensky emphasized.
He also reported that intelligence had obtained important documents on Russia's assessment of battlefield losses. In particular, these documents record a change in the ratio of Russians killed and wounded, namely from 100% losses to 62% killed and 38% wounded.
The head of state also noted that the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine had obtained updated data on cooperation between Russia and North Korea.
As reported, according to the General Staff, the total combat losses of Russian troops since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, from February 24, 2022, to March 10, 2026, amount to about 1,274,990 people, including 950 people in the past 24 hours.
