Search and rescue operations have been completed in Kharkiv at the building that was hit by a Russian missile on the night of March 7.

This was reported by Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"They lasted more than two days. Rescuers dismantled heavy concrete structures meter by meter. In total, more than 2,400 cubic meters of building materials were removed. It was a targeted strike. In the middle of the night, when dozens of families - residents of this five-story building - were asleep. Unfortunately, 10 people were killed, including two children: a 7-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl," he said.

Body parts have also been recovered from the rubble, and identification is still ongoing.

“At least 16 people were injured in the attack, including three children. Dog handlers with search dogs will continue to work after the rescue operation is completed. According to reports, four people are still missing,” Klymenko added.

The minister reported that, in total, about 20 houses, cars, and an educational institution were damaged as a result of this strike.

"Hundreds of specialists were involved in clearing the rubble and eliminating the consequences of the missile strike. Dog handlers, climbers, an engineering unit, and State Emergency Service teams from other regions were involved. Our psychologists provided assistance to dozens of people. The work was complicated by constant alarms," said the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

He noted that on Saturday, the enemy again targeted rescue teams during the operation.

“Three State Emergency Service vehicles were destroyed in Dnipro and one in Kharkiv. And this morning in Poltava region, enemy strikes damaged three more State Emergency Service vehicles. Thanks to updated work algorithms, fortunately, no personnel were injured,” Klymenko added.

As reported by Ukrinform, the entrance to a five-story residential building in the Kyiv district of Kharkiv was virtually destroyed as a result of the Russian strike.
