Air defense forces destroyed 19 Russian missiles and 453 drones.

According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Air Force reported this on Telegram. 

Starting at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 6, the enemy launched a combined strike on critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine using strike UAVs, land-based and sea-based missiles.

In total, the Air Force's radio-technical troops recorded 509 air attack weapons:

  • two Zircon hypersonic missiles (launch area – temporarily occupied Crimea);
  • 13 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles (launch areas – Bryansk, Kursk, and Voronezh regions);
  • 14 Kalibr cruise missiles (launch area – Black Sea waters);
  • 480 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types of strike UAVs from the directions of Bryansk, Kursk, Orel, Shatalovo, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russian Federation), Gvardeyskoye, Chauda (Crimea), and about 290 of them were Shahed type.

The main targets of the attack were Kyiv, Kharkiv, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, and Chernivtsi regions.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, air defense forces shot down/suppressed 472 targets – 19 missiles and 453 drones of various types:

  • 8 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles;
  • 11 Kalibr cruise missiles;
  • 453 UAVs of various types.

Nine missiles and 26 strike drones were recorded hitting 22 locations, as well as the fall of downed (debris) UAVs at five locations.

Information on one enemy missile is being clarified.

The attack continues, with enemy UAVs in the airspace.

As reported by Ukrinform, seven people were killed in Kharkiv as a result of a Russian ballistic missile hitting a residential high-rise building on the night of March 7.

In Odesa, an infrastructure facility was hit during a massive missile and drone attack.

In Kyiv, the consequences of the Russian air attack were recorded in the Holosiivskyi, Desnianskyi, and Dniprovskyi districts.
