Russians try to get as close as possible to Orikhiv - spox Voloshyn
This was reported on television by Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.
“According to our intelligence, his units were tasked with getting as close as possible to Orikhiv,” Voloshyn said.
According to him, this concerns the front line from Shcherbakiv and Maly Shcherbakiv to Mala Tokmachka in the east, where the enemy plans to first reach the front line and then carry out assault operations.
“These enemy units must first reach the front line, then carry out assault operations and consolidate their positions on the outskirts of Orikhiv,” the spokesman said.
Voloshin stressed that Ukrainian forces continue to monitor the enemy's movements and are ready to repel its assaults in the specified direction.
As reported by Ukrinform, 118 combat clashes between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian invaders were recorded on the front line over the past day, March 4.
