War update: 106 clashes on front line, nearly 50 enemy troops destroyed in Pokrovsk sector

In March 4, there were 106 combat clashes between the Defense Forces of Ukraine and Russian invaders, with the heaviest fighting reported in the Pokrovsk, Huliaipole, and Kostiantynivka directions.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated this on Facebook, providing operational information as of 22:00 on Wednesday, March 4, according to Ukrinform.

“In total, since the beginning of today, there have been 106 combat clashes… The enemy carried out one missile strike using three missiles and 52 air strikes, dropping 122 guided aerial bombs. In addition, 6,031 kamikaze drones were deployed and 2,551 shellings of settlements and our troops’ positions were recorded,” the statement said.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out 91 shellings of Ukrainian positions and settlements, including one using MLRS. They launched four airstrikes using 11 guided aerial bombs. In total, two combat clashes occurred in these directions.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna direction, the enemy once stormed Ukrainian positions near the settlement of Hrafske. No assault actions are currently recorded.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attacked three times near Pishchane, Kurylivka, and Kivsharivka.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian forces repelled three enemy attacks near Stavky, Drobysheve, and Zarichne.

In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy attempted to advance five times toward Dronivka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, and Riznykivka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the aggressor attacked three times near Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bondarne, and Mykolaivka. One attack is ongoing.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, the occupiers stormed Ukrainian positions 14 times near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Shcherbynivka, Illinivka, Rusyn Yar, and Sofiivka. One enemy assault continues.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy carried out 15 attacks. They attempted to advance near Nykanorivka, Rodynske, Hryshyne, Udachne, Muravka, Molodetske, and toward Chervonyi Lyman. Three attempts to improve their positions are still ongoing.

Preliminary estimates indicate that 49 enemy troops were eliminated and 14 wounded in this direction today; four vehicles and one artillery system were destroyed, and seven enemy shelters damaged. A total of 91 UAVs of various types were destroyed or suppressed.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy attempted six times to improve their positions near Ivanivka, Andriivka-Klevtsove, Novohryhorivka, and toward Zelenyi Hai, Krasnohirske, and Zlahoda.

In the Huliaipole direction, there were 14 enemy attacks near Huliaipole, Dobropillia, Zaliznychne, and Myrne. Two attacks are ongoing.

No attacks were reported in the Orikhiv direction.

In the Prydniprovske direction, the enemy attacked near the Antonivskyi Bridge and Bilohrudyi Island.

No significant changes in other directions were reported, the General Staff concluded.

As Ukrinform reported, total combat losses of Russian forces from February 24, 2022, to March 4, 2026, in the war against Ukraine are approximately 1,269,500 personnel.
