Russians preparing to intensify offensive in Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration
According to Ukrinform, the Operation Task Force East reported this on Facebook.
"The situation in the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration remains difficult. Signs have been recorded of the enemy preparing to intensify offensive actions using accumulated reserves. The enemy is increasing the number of airstrikes and the use of other firepower," the statement said.
On the Pokrovsk axis, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have made ten attempts to push Ukrainian troops from their positions near the settlements of Nykanorivka, Rodynske, Udachne, Muravka, Molodetske, and toward Chervonyi Lyman. Four clashes are still ongoing.
"The enemy is concentrating efforts, in particular, on attempts to advance in the area of the settlement of Hryshyne, trying to break into its central part while simultaneously assaulting the settlement from the north and the south," the post said.
In addition, Russian troops are trying to fully seize Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad. Ukrainian units are holding positions on the northern outskirts of these settlements.
"The Ukrainian Defense Forces are countering the enemy's intentions and repelling enemy assaults. In particular, intensified aerial reconnaissance is being carried out, additional mining of possible enemy advance routes is underway, and enemy logistics are being disrupted. Search-and-strike operations are being conducted systematically. Our drone units, artillery and aviation are actively working. Our soldiers are inflicting significant losses on the enemy," the statement said.
According to the Operation Task Force East, over the past month, Ukrainian defenders of the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration have killed and wounded more than 1,000 Russian troops, destroyed or damaged 38 guns and mortars, four armored vehicles, five unmanned robotic systems, and 84 units of enemy vehicles and motorcycles.
