Rescue operation over at site of Russian strike in Druzhkivka: three killed, 16 injured
This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) on Facebook, as cited by Ukrinform.
"As a result of the shelling, three people were killed and 16 were injured. The body of the last victim was recovered from the rubble only on the third day of search operations," the statement reads.
According to the SES, the enemy strike damaged 13 residential buildings and 14 vehicles in the town.
Rescuers cleared 55 tons of building debris, extinguished a fire on the third floor of a heavily damaged building, and put out fires on four cars. All operations were carried out under a constant threat of renewed enemy attacks.
Earlier, Ukrinform reported that in the morning of March 2, Russian forces carried out strikes on Druzhkivka, damaging seven multi-story buildings. At that time, there were reports of two killed and 11 injured.
The enemy shelling also hit the central branch of Ukrposhta, the national postal service.
