Village of Tsvitkove in Zaporizhzhia region remains under control of Defense Forces – Voloshyn
Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, stated this in a comment to Ukrinform
"They [the Russians] wrote that Russian troops had liberated and established control over Tsvitkove. This is nonsense, and they spread such nonsense every day… Every day we practically have to refute this information, because in reality the situation is completely different," he emphasized.
According to Voloshyn, the Russians regularly claim they are leveling the line of combat contact and expanding their tactical zone, but the real situation is different.
"They claim every day to have captured some settlement that is currently in the rear and located 7–12 kilometers from the front line," Voloshyn added.
He assured that even if small enemy groups attempt to infiltrate, this does not mean they have established control over a settlement.
"Even if one of their groups enters and infiltrates, it will not mean they have taken control of the settlement. We will still conduct a sweep and destroy them, but we eliminate such groups even on the approach," Voloshyn stressed.
As Ukrinform previously reported, Russian troops are attempting to seize the village of Zaliznychne near Huliaipole in the Zaporizhzhia region, but it remains under the control of Ukraine's Defense Forces.
