War update: 51 clashes since midnight, Pokrovsk, Huliaipole axes hottest
According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said this in a war update as of 16:00 on Sunday, March 1.
Shelling of border areas continues. In the Sumy region, the Russian army struck the settlements of Rohizne, Volfyne, Budky, Kucherivka, Zarichne and Ulanove. The enemy also shelled Kliusy, Khrinivka, Hrumiach and Bohdanove in the Chernihiv region.
On the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk axes, the enemy carried out one airstrike, dropping four aerial bombs, and conducted 65 attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian positions, seven of them using multiple launch rocket systems.
On the Southern Slobozhanshchyna axis, the enemy launched two attacks near Prylipka and toward Zybyne. One engagement is ongoing.
On the Kupiansk axis, the enemy advanced three times toward Pishchane, Petropavlivka and Hlushkivka. One battle is still underway.
On the Lyman axis, Ukrainian forces repelled three attempts by the invaders to advance toward the settlements of Drobysheve and Dibrova and near Zarichne.
On the Sloviansk axis, the aggressor carried out six attacks near Yampil, Zakitne and Riznykivka.
On the Kramatorsk axis, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations.
On the Kostiantynivka axis, Russian forces launched six assaults near the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Berestok, Rusyn Yar and Sofiivka.
On the Pokrovsk axis, the invaders made 14 attempts to push Ukrainian troops from their positions near Shakhove, Chervonyi Lyman, Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske and toward Bilytske. One engagement is ongoing.
On the Oleksandrivka axis, the enemy launched three assaults near Vorone, Ternove and Stepove. Pysantsi and Velykomykhailivka came under enemy airstrikes.
On the Huliaipole axis, 13 attacks took place near Huliaipole, Myrne and toward Zaliznychne and Staroukrainka. The enemy also carried out airstrikes near Vozdvyzhivka, Samiilivka, Holubkove and Charivne. Three engagements are ongoing.
On the Orikhiv axis, one battle with the enemy is ongoing near Plavni. Airstrikes targeted Komyshuvakha, Veselianka and Malokaterynivka.
On the Dnipro River axis, no active offensive actions by the enemy have been recorded, although an airstrike was carried out on Prydniprovske.
No significant changes have been reported on other axes, and no enemy attempts to advance have been recorded there.
