Injury toll in Russia’s overnight attack on Zaporizhzhia rises to 10, multiple buildings damaged

“On the night of February 26, the invaders launched at least 20 strikes on the regional center using various means of attack: Shahed drones, ballistic missiles, and guided aerial bombs. As a result of the Russian shelling, 10 people were injured, including an eight-year-old child,” the statement said.
More than 80 residential buildings and non-residential facilities were damaged in several districts of the city, said Regina Kharchenko, Secretary of the Zaporizhzhia City Council.
“In the Oleksandrivskyi district, 23 apartment buildings were damaged, two of them severely, as well as non-residential premises. In the Voznesenivskyi district, eight apartment buildings and non-residential facilities were damaged. In the Shevchenkivskyi district, two private houses sustained severe damage, while seven apartment buildings and 43 private houses were damaged; non-residential premises were also affected. In the Khortytskyi district, a non-residential building was damaged,” the report reads.
District administrations continue to inspect the affected areas. Municipal services, emergency responders, police, and specialized units of the city council are involved in dealing with the aftermath.
As reported earlier, the enemy began attacking the city after midnight. Zaporizhzhia was struck by three missiles and 17 Shahed drones.
