War update: 50 clashes on front line, fighting continues in four sectors

According to Ukrinform, this is stated in a Facebook post by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the situation as of 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24.

According to the General Staff, the enemy shelled the border settlements of Volfyne, Yastrubschyna, Kucherivka, Ryzhivka, Novovasylivka, Khodyne, and Tovstodubove in the Sumy region.

Five clashes occurred in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors. In addition, the Russian army carried out 44 shellings of settlements and positions of Ukrainian troops, seven of which involved the use of multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the enemy attacked twice toward the settlement of Vilcha. Currently, there are no Russian attempts to advance.

In the Kupiansk sector, Russian troops advanced twice in the Hlushivka area.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian soldiers repelled three attempts by the invaders to advance toward Shyikivka, Drobysheve, and Stavky. One assault is ongoing.

In the Sloviansk sector, the Russian army attempted to advance on the positions of the Defense Forces toward Rai-Oleksandrivka, Yampil, and Dronivka. Two of the three attacks are still ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy launched a single attack.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, the invaders carried out 10 offensive actions near Kostiantynivka, Berestok, Pleshchiivka, and Sofiivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian troops made 13 attempts to dislodge Ukrainian defenders from their positions near the settlements of Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Molodetske, and Filiia. Three combat engagements are still ongoing.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy launched two attacks toward Ternove and Nove Zaporizhzhya. In addition, the areas of Havrylivka and Pysantsi were subjected to air strikes.

In the Huliaipole sector, there were 11 attacks in the area of Huliaipole and toward Zaliznychne and Zahirne. The enemy carried out air strikes in the areas of Verkhnia Tersa, Huliaipole, and Liubytske. Three combat engagements are currently ongoing.

In the Orikhiv sector, the invaders attacked three times, with combat engagements near Stepove, Stepnohirsk, and Plavni.

No active enemy offensive actions have been recorded in the Prydniprovske sector.

In other areas of the front, the situation has not changed significantly. No attempts by the enemy to advance have been recorded.

As reported by Ukrinform, Russian troops are regrouping their assault units in the area of the village of Stepnohirsk in the Zaporizhzhia region and preparing to resume active combat operations.
