Russian troops are trying to drive Ukrainian defenders out of Huliaipole in the Zaporizhzhia region, but these attempts remain unsuccessful.

According to a Ukrinform correspondent, this was reported on a television broadcast by Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesman for the Operation Task Force South.

“The enemies are trying to finally drive our fighters out of Huliaipole, but they have not succeeded, Voloshyn said.

According to him, Russian units have intensified their attacks both in the city itself and in the surrounding settlements.

“In addition, the enemy is attacking settlements located near Huliaipole quite intensively, in particular Zaliznychne, Zelenе, and Varvarivka,” the spokesman added.

He stressed that the Ukrainian troops continue to hold back the enemies and prevent them from achieving their goals in this sector.
