War update: 137 clashes along frontline, heaviest fighting in Huliaipole sector

A total of 137 combat clashes were recorded along the frontline, with Russian forces carrying out nearly 30 attacks against Ukrainian Defense Forces positions in the Huliaipole sector.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an operational update posted on Facebook as of 22:00 on February 17, 2026.

“Since the beginning of the day, 137 combat engagements have taken place. The enemy carried out one missile strike using 28 missiles, conducted 50 airstrikes, and dropped 109 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the enemy deployed 5,847 drones and carried out 2,538 shelling attacks on populated areas and our military positions,” the statement said.

According to the General Staff, in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, the enemy shelled populated areas and Ukrainian positions 75 times, including nine attacks using multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian forces launched four assaults on Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Vovchanski Khutory, Prylipka, and toward Okhrimivka.

Ukrainian defenders repelled three attacks in the Kupiansk sector, toward Kurylivka and Novoosynove. One engagement is still ongoing.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian forces stopped six enemy attacks near Zarichne and toward the settlement of Stavky.

In the Sloviansk sector, Ukrainian troops repelled nine attempts by Russian forces to advance near Yampil, Zakitne, Riznykivka, Platonivka, Dronivka, and Sviato-Pokrovske. One clash is ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian troops attempted three times to advance on Ukrainian positions near the settlement of Stupochky and toward Novodmytrivka.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, Russian forces carried out 13 assaults on Ukrainian defensive positions near the settlements of Pleshchiivka, Shcherbynivka, Rusyn Yar, Sofiivka, and toward Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Novopavlivka, and Ivanopillia. Three engagements are still ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the enemy conducted 16 attacks, attempting to advance near the settlements of Rodynske, Kotlyne, Filiia, and toward Novooleksandrivka.

According to preliminary estimates, Ukrainian forces eliminated 26 invaders and wounded 12 more in this sector. They also destroyed 96 unmanned aerial vehicles, nine vehicles, 24 units of special equipment, two UAV control points, and an ammunition depot. Additionally, two artillery systems, ten vehicles, and nine enemy personnel shelters were damaged.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, Ukrainian units stopped four enemy attacks near the settlements of Ternove, Rybne, and toward Danylivka. One engagement is still ongoing. Guided aerial bombs struck Havrylivka and Fedorivske.

The Huliaipole sector saw 29 enemy attacks near the settlements of Dobropillia, Huliaipole, Solodke, Pryluky, Zelene, and toward Zaliznychne and Varvarivka. Four engagements are ongoing. Enemy airstrikes hit Vozdvyzhivka, Lisne, Verkhnia Tersa, Myrne, and Charivne.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russian forces did not conduct offensive actions. Guided aerial bombs struck Veselianka, Liubymivka, and Myrivka.

In the Prydniprovske sector, no enemy offensive actions were recorded.
