Russians kill three employees of Sloviansk TPP – Energy Ministry
As reported by Ukrinform, the statement was made during a briefing by Artem Nekrasov, First Deputy Minister of Energy, according to the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine on Telegram.
“This morning, a Russian UAV struck a vehicle carrying employees of the Sloviansk Thermal Power Plant. Tragically, three of them were killed. This is yet another reminder of the high price we pay for electricity and heat in our homes. My sincere condolences to everyone who has lost relatives and loved ones,” he said.
Nekrasov also reported that due to a massive attack, disruptions to heat supply have been recorded in Sumy and Odesa. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore equipment damaged by the enemy.
As previously reported, following another large-scale Russian attack, as of the morning of February 17 a significant number of consumers were left without power in Odesa and the Odesa region. New power outages were also recorded in the Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kharkiv regions.
