Explosive ordnance disposal specialists from the Poltava regional police defused an enemy UAV fitted with anti-tank mines.

The Poltava regional police stated this on its website, according to Ukrinform.

After another air attack, a Geran-2 strike drone was discovered in a field in one of the communities of the Poltava region. It was equipped with KPTM-3 submunitions and a main warhead that had not detonated. Police bomb disposal experts in the Poltava region who arrived at the scene neutralized the dangerous findings and transported them to a special demolition site for further destruction.

It is noted that KPTM-3 mines are extremely insidious: they are fitted with a magnetic target sensor and a self-destruct mechanism that can be triggered without direct contact, reacting to the approach of vehicles. Even a downed or crashed UAV may remain active and pose a deadly threat.

As Ukrinform previously reported, explosive ordnance disposal specialists from the Poltava regional police also neutralized the warheads of a missile and a UAV.
