Russian attacks on sea port in Odesa region leave one killed, six injured
According to Ukrinform, the Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration, Minister for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Oleksii Kuleba stated this on Facebook.
"Russia carried out massive strikes on port and railway infrastructure," Kuleba noted.
In the Odesa region, the invaders struck one of the ports with drones.
One person was killed and six others were injured. Three of the wounded are in serious condition.
All received medical assistance. All of them were civilians, Kuleba emphasized.
The infrastructure of an enterprise, fertilizer warehouses, and vehicles, including freight railcars, were damaged.
A fire broke out. The aftermath is being eliminated, and all relevant emergency services are working at the scene, Kuleba informed.
In addition, over the past day the Russian army carried out drone strikes on railway infrastructure in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
No people were injured. The damage did not affect train traffic, Kuleba stressed.
"The enemy is deliberately and systematically attacking Ukraine's logistics infrastructure - what connects the country, ensures exports, business operations, supplies to the regions, and the viability of frontline communities," he noted.
As the head of the regional state administration, Oleh Kiper, reported on Telegram, the targets of the Russian invaders were port, residential, industrial, and energy infrastructure facilities in the Odesa region.
Fertilizer warehouses were damaged at the port. Four passenger cars and freight railcars caught fire.
In Odesa, hits and falling drone debris were recorded on the territory of a car dealership and a sanatorium.
Two Shahed-type drones hit apartments in two residential buildings. No further fires occurred, Kiper emphasized.
The fires were promptly extinguished by rescuers.
Emergency and municipal services are working at the scenes. Law enforcement officers are documenting yet another war crimes committed by Russia.
As Ukrinform reported, on February 11 in the Konotop district of the Sumy region, the Russian army attacked railway infrastructure with a drone.
