Russian strikes leave Lozova community in Kharkiv region without power

Serhii Zelenskyi, head of the Lozova city community, announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"The enemy has once again attacked energy facilities. The Lozova community is without power. Please remain calm. Critical infrastructure is switching to alternative power sources," the post said.

Medical facilities continue to operate as usual, Zelenskyi said.

"Points of invincibility" are operating in the community, where residents can charge their phones, access stable communications, or warm up, the official said.

"At present, all involved services are working in an enhanced mode to restore stable electricity supply to our homes as quickly as possible," Zelenskyi added.

Currently, both scheduled hourly outages and emergency blackouts are being applied in the Kharkiv region, Kharkivoblenergo said.

"Due to enemy shelling of energy infrastructure in various regions of the country, the situation is extremely difficult. Emergency outage schedules have been introduced to stabilize the situation in the power grid. At the same time, hourly outage schedules remain in effect," the regional power company said.

On February 6, the Russian army struck critical infrastructure facilities in the Lozova community in the Kharkiv region.

Russia has been striking critical infrastructure in Lozova since September 2025. Restoration work there is ongoing. The community is living under conditions of frequent power outages.

The population of the Lozova community, including internally displaced persons, exceeds 90,000. Lozova hosts a transit center for receiving evacuees.
