Defense Forces thwart Russian mechanized assault in Kupiansk sector

Units of the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade, named after Prince Roman the Great of the 10th Army Corps, in cooperation with forces of the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade, named after Prince Kostiantyn Ostrozky, thwarted an enemy attempt to break through defenses in the Kupiansk sector.

According to Ukrinform, the corps' press service reported this on Telegram.

“Difficult weather conditions did not give the enemy any advantage. The attempt to advance was detected promptly and stopped at the stage of advancement,” the report said.

As noted, as a result of the coordinated actions of the units, the enemy suffered losses, including two MT-LB vehicles, 11 ATVs, two buggies, 17 soldiers were killed, and four were wounded.

"The Defense Forces are in control of the situation. We are continuing our work," the troops concluded.

As reported by Ukrinform, the total combat losses of Russian troops from February 24, 2022, to February 9, 2026, in the war against Ukraine amount to about 1,247,580 servicemen, including 1,250 over the past day.
