Ukraine’s air defense systems destroyed 297 drones used by Russian forces to attack Ukraine overnight on February 6 and during the morning. A group of enemy missiles, preliminarily, also failed to reach their targets.

This was reported on Telegram by the Ukrainian Air Forces, as cited by Ukrinform.

According to the military, from 18:00 on Thursday, February 5, until Friday morning, Russian forces launched 328 drones of various types at Ukraine, including Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas.

The launches came from the areas of Russian cities Kursk, Oryol, Bryansk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from temporarily occupied Donetsk. About 200 of the targets were Shahed-type drones.

In addition, the Russians launched two aeroballistic Kinzhal missiles and five guided aviation missiles X-59/69.

The enemy attack was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and UAV units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces across northern, southern, eastern, and central Ukraine.

Preliminary data indicate that as of 12:30 on Friday, air defense had shot down or jammed 297 Russian UAVs of various types.

The missiles used by the invaders did not reach their targets due to active countermeasures by the Defense Forces, with information still being clarified.

On 14 locations, 22 enemy attack drones were recorded as having hit targets, and in two more locations, drone fragments fell.

The Air Forces warn that the attack is ongoing, with Russian UAVs still detected in Ukrainian airspace.
