Over the past six months, the size of the enemy grouping has remained at approximately the same level – about 711,000–712,000 troops – while the enemy’s daily losses average 1,000–1,100 personnel.

As reported by an Ukrinform correspondent, this was stated by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi during a briefing with the media.

“The enemy continues offensive operations along the entire length of the line of contact with varying intensity. The active frontline is about 1,200 kilometers long. The depth of battle formations continues to increase. The development of unmanned systems is leading to an expansion of battle formations not along the front, but in depth, into the kill zone, which has already reached 15–20 kilometers. Over the past six months, the size of the enemy grouping has remained approximately the same – 711,000–712,000 personnel, including the operational reserve,” Syrskyi said.

At the same time, he noted that the occupiers have fully met, and even exceeded, their force manning plans.

“This indicates that the level of their losses exceeds their ability to replenish. On average, the enemy loses about 1,000–1,100 servicemen every day,” the Commander-in-Chief emphasized.

He added that the enemy is concentrating its main efforts on the Pokrovsk, Ocheretyne, and Oleksandrivka directions. There is also a buildup of forces and assets in the Kramatorsk sector, particularly toward Kostiantynivka. Active combat operations are also ongoing in the Lyman sector.

At the same time, Syrskyi stressed that the Ukrainian Defense Forces are actively conducting offensive and counteroffensive actions.

“In certain areas, about a quarter of all combat engagements involve Ukrainian units conducting offensive actions. Their goal is to keep the enemy under constant pressure, inflict losses, and prevent any forward movement. This tactic is producing results. In January, the enemy achieved no significant operational successes,” Syrskyi said.
