Russian forces strike market in Kharkiv, casualties reported
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov stated this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"Preliminarily, the enemy carried out a strike with a combat drone on the Osnovianskyi district. We are clarifying the details," the post said.
Shortly afterward, he reported that the strike hit a market.
"According to updated information, the enemy struck one of Kharkiv's markets. Information on casualties and damage is being уточнюється," the post said.
As of 14:40, it became known that one person was injured.
Later, Terekhov added that the strike was recorded in the Slobidskyi district, and the number of injured increased to two.
"According to updated information from our Situation Center, the hit was on a market in the Slobidskyi district. At this moment, two people are known to be injured. Several trading pavilions were also damaged," the mayor said.
As reported, on January 31 Russians struck Kharkiv twice with drones.
