Day of mourning declared in Dnipropetrovsk region for miners killed in Russian drone attack

Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the regional state administration, announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"This morning, Ternivka and the entire Dnipropetrovsk region are in mourning. We bow our heads in memory of those killed in yesterday's enemy attack on a bus carrying enterprise employees, carried out by the aggressor. Eternal memory to those whose lives were cut short by Russian inhumanity. My deepest condolences to those who have lost their loved ones," he said.

Hanzha stressed that "while the city was still recovering from what it had endured, the aggressor attacked it again with UAVs overnight. An administrative building and an adjacent structure caught fire."

In addition, the enemy attacked the Vasylkivka community in the Synelnykove district with drones. Two private houses and an outbuilding were damaged.

In the Nikopol district, Russian forces used artillery, Grad multiple launch rocket systems and FPV drones. Nikopol, as well as the Marhanets and Pokrovske communities, came under fire. An enterprise and a power line were damaged. Inspections of the area are ongoing.

On February 1, Russian troops attacked a DTEK miners' bus with drones in the Pavlohrad district, Dnipropetrovsk region.

According to DTEK Group, 12 miners were killed and 16 others were injured. Nine of the wounded are in critical condition.
