Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense, together with SpaceX, is already working to resolve the issue of Starlink being used on Russian unmanned aerial vehicles.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Telegram by Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.

According to him, just a few hours after Russian drones equipped with Starlink communication appeared over Ukrainian cities, the Ministry of Defense team promptly contacted SpaceX and proposed ways to address the problem.

“I am grateful to SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell and personally to Elon Musk for their swift response and for beginning work to resolve the situation,” Fedorov emphasized.

The minister also noted that Elon Musk’s decision to urgently activate Starlink and send the first batch of terminals to Ukraine at the beginning of the full-scale invasion was critically important for the resilience of the Ukrainian state.

“Western technologies must continue to support the democratic world and protect civilians, not be used for terror and the destruction of peaceful cities,” he stressed.
