China supports Russian production of Oreshnik missiles – The Telegraph
That is according to The Telegraph, Ukrinform reports.
According to the newspaper, the total value of Chinese equipment supplied to Russia is estimated at $10.3 billion.
Ukrainian military intelligence has identified a key component at the Votkinsk Plant: a computer numerical control (CNC) lathe used for advanced metal-cutting operations.
Since the start of the war in 2022, China has supplied Russia with CNC machine tools worth at least $3.1 billion.
Beijing has supplied microchips, bearings, piezoelectric crystals, and testing equipment that are critical to Russia's military production.
Analysts note that Russia's dependence on China has increased sharply, as its domestic industrial capacity is barely able to meet demand.
According to Ukraine's Foreign Intelligence Service, Russia plans to increase mass production of the Oreshnik medium-range ballistic missile and is considering options to modernize it in order to enhance the destructive potential of its warhead.
