Russians attack Zaporizhzhia, damaging more than one hundred apartments, twenty cars

In Zaporizhzhia, a fire broke out in one of the buildings as a result of an attack by Russian forces.

The head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, stated this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"A building is on fire as a result of an enemy attack on Zaporizhzhia," he wrote, promising to provide details later.

He urged residents to remain in safe places until the air raid alert ends.

According to an Ukrinform correspondent, explosions were heard in the city.

Earlier, Fedorov warned about the activity of enemy tactical aviation and the threat of the use of glide bombs in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Shortly afterward, he clarified that the Russians hit the courtyard of a high-rise building: "More than one hundred apartments and twenty cars were damaged, and a fire broke out - these are the preliminary consequences of the enemy attack on Zaporizhzhia."

According to preliminary data, there were no casualties.

After the all-clear, specialists from district administrations will begin work at the site to document the damage caused by the aggressor country, Fedorov added.

As Ukrinform previously reported, over the past day the occupiers carried out 826 strikes on 30 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region, and a woman was injured.
