In the Prydniprovske sector, Russian forces are carrying out fewer assault operations, but are not reducing the intensity of kamikaze drone and artillery strikes, particularly against Kherson and nearby communities.

This was stated in a comment to Ukrinform by Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Defense Forces of the South.

“In the Prydniprovske sector, the enemy is conducting fewer assault actions, but every day we record attempts to approach our positions in the area of the Antonivskyi bridge,” Voloshyn said.

According to him, the Russians have not reduced the intensity of drone attacks.

“The enemy has not decreased the number of kamikaze drone strikes there. We record approximately 400 strikes per day against Kherson and adjacent territorial communities,” the spokesperson noted.

Voloshyn added that artillery pressure also remains.

“In addition, the enemy has not reduced the number of artillery shellings – up to 100 artillery strikes in this sector,” he said.

The spokesperson also noted that the enemy is trying to maintain a presence on the islands: “The enemy is attempting to carry out rotation measures for the observation posts it has on two or three islands.”

Voloshyn said that the enemy’s main activity is concentrated near the Antonivskyi bridges.

“Assault operations are mainly carried out near the Antonivskyi bridges, as well as attempts to land on Bilohrudyi Island,” the spokesperson concluded.
