Rybne in Zaporizhzhia region under fire control of Defense Forces – spox Voloshyn
The spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn, stated this during a TV broadcast, Ukrinform reports.
"This [Rybne] is no longer a settlement, it is remnants… a destroyed settlement. Our positions were there, but it is located in such a way that there was a certain threat to our fighters and it was quite problematic to carry out logistics, as well as to provide reinforcements and conduct rotations. Therefore, during the regrouping we withdrew from these positions, but we are keeping Rybne under fire control," he said.
According to him, the enemy currently has no ability to seize the village.
"The enemy cannot enter and entrench itself there, cannot occupy this settlement at the moment," Voloshyn added.
Earlier, the analytical project DeepState reported that Russian troops had captured the village of Rybne in Zaporizhzhia region.
As reported, Russian forces are unable to entrench themselves in Huliaipole, so they are trying to isolate the city through active assaults, massive air strikes, and total mining, including the use of drones.
