Russian attacks leave Chornomorsk without electricity or heating

In the city of Chornomorsk, Odesa region, electricity and heat supply have been cut off following an enemy drone attack during the night of January 22.

Chornomorsk Mayor Vasyl Huliaiev, stated this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“Today the situation is difficult. There is no electricity in the city, and the boiler plant is not operating. If power is not restored, we will launch the boiler plant in emergency mode on a generator after noon. Water supply is being provided; however, water to upper floors will be supplied according to a schedule, which will be announced additionally,” Huliaiev said.

He added that the city hospital is operating on generators and doctors continue to see patients. Schools have been forced to switch to distance learning. Kindergartens are operating in duty mode.

The mayor also reminded residents that 16 resilience points are open in the city.

As Ukrinform previously reported, in the Odesa district a Russian strike drone hit a residential high-rise building.
