Mine barriers installed along border with Transnistria in Vinnytsia region
This was reported on Facebook by the Khmilnyk City Council, according to Ukrinform.
"The Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration informs that as part of measures to strengthen the defense of the state border and protect the national security of Ukraine in the territories bordering the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova, engineering work is being carried out to strengthen protective borders and additional mine and explosive barriers are being installed in sections of the border strip within the Tulchyn and Mohyliv-Podilskyi districts," the statement said.
It is noted that this work is being carried out in compliance with all requirements of international humanitarian law and security measures.
The measures are specifically designed to deter potential threats and do not impact civilian traffic or populated areas.
At the same time, citizens are advised to refrain from visiting the border area without prior permission and to avoid approaching areas marked with warning signs. They are also urged to immediately report any suspicious persons, objects, or activities near the border to law enforcement agencies or border guards.
As reported, law enforcement officers in the Odesa region exposed a 51-year-old employee of the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center who transported men of draft age to Transnistria for $5,000-8,000.
