War update: 219 clashes on front line over past day, Pokrovsk, Huliaipole sectors most active

On the front line on January 11, 219 combat engagements were recorded between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian invaders.

According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated this on Facebook, updating the situation as of 08:00 on Monday, January 12.

The enemy carried out 53 airstrikes, dropping 151 glide bombs. In addition, the Russians conducted 2,941 shelling attacks, including 111 from multiple rocket launch systems, and used 5,273 kamikaze drones.

Airstrikes hit areas including Havrylivka in Dnipropetrovsk region, Mala Tokmachka, Vozdvyzhivka, Rizdvianka, Verkhnia Tersa, and Orikhiv in Zaporizhzhia region.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces aviation, missile troops, and artillery struck seven enemy concentration areas of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, as well as one command post for Russian UAVs.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, the enemy conducted 100 shelling attacks, including five with MLRS.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the invaders attacked Ukrainian positions 16 times in the areas of Prylipka, Dvorichanske, Dovhenke, Starytsia, Kruhle, Chuhunivka, Kutkivka, and toward Hrafske, Ternova, Lyman, and Kolodiazne.

In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy made nine attempts to advance toward Petropavlivka, Novoplatonivka, Kupiansk, and Bohuslavka.

In the Lyman sector, Russian forces attacked 16 times, attempting to break through defenses near Hrekivka, Karpivka, Shandryholove, Novoyehorivka, Zarichne, Yampil, and toward Lyman, Stavky, and Drobysheve.

In the Sloviansk sector, the Defense Forces repelled three enemy offensive actions in the areas of Platonivka and Zakitne.

In the Kramatorsk sector, an enemy attack toward Stupochky was repelled.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, the Russians carried out 17 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, Rusyn Yar, and toward Sofiivka and Berestok.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped 46 assault actions of the Russian army in the areas of Nykanorivka, Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Sukhetske, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Filiya, and toward Ivanivka, Hryshyne, Toretske, and Novopavlivka.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy carried out 17 attacks in the areas of Sichneve, Verbove, Rybne, Vyshneve, Zlahoda, Yehorivka, and toward Ivanivka and Oleksiivka.

In the Huliaipole sector, the Defense Forces stopped 44 enemy attempts to advance in the areas of Huliaipole, Solodke, and toward Dobropillia, Zelene, Pryluky, and Varvarivka.

In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy attempted eight offensive actions in the areas of Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, and toward Lukianivske.

In the Prydniprovske sector, the Russians did not conduct any offensive actions.

In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.

As Ukrinform reported, the total combat losses of Russian forces since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, from February 24, 2022, to January 12, 2026, amount to about 1,220,000 personnel, of which 1,060 were lost in the past day.
