DIU intercepts Russian orders to kill Ukrainian POWs

Ukrinform
Evidence of preparations for another war crime by Russian forces in Ukraine has been recorded by the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) through radio interception.

According to Ukrinform, the DIU reported this on Facebook and published an audio recording.

From the intercepted communications of servicemen from the 2nd Battalion of the 237th Regiment of the 76th Air Assault Division of the Russian Armed Forces, operating near Pokrovsk, one of the commanders can be heard giving an order to execute Ukrainian prisoners of war.

“Systematic executions and torture of prisoners of war, killings of civilians, and extrajudicial executions of their own soldiers once again prove that war crimes are a deliberate and purposeful policy of the aggressor state, Russia,” the DIU emphasized.
