Russian massive attack: In Kyiv, victim toll climbs to 26, with four fatalities

In Kyiv, the number of victims of the Russian combined attack has increased to 26, with four people killed.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Kyiv Police on its Facebook page.

The capital's police continue to document the consequences of Russian terror. Operational headquarters have been set up in seven districts of the capital. In total, more than 240 police officers have been deployed to manage the aftermath, and additional investigation and operation teams have been established.

As of 14:00, law enforcement officers had received more than 170 reports from residents regarding property damage and other consequences of the attack.

“At this time, the death of one person in the Darnytskyi district has been confirmed — a 56-year-old medic perished; and three people in the Dniprovskyi district, including a 41-year-old man, a 49-year-old woman, and another body to be identified based on the results of examinations,” the police said.

The number of victims is 26 citizens, including a police officer, five State Emergency Service employees, and four medical workers.

Law enforcement officers are recording the damage, inspecting buildings, receiving reports from citizens, and providing all necessary assistance. Work is ongoing.

As reported, on the night of January 9, the Russian army attacked Kyiv with drones and missiles, including ballistic missiles, from various directions.

The consequences of the enemy attack were recorded in the Darnytskyi, Dniprovskyi, Desnianskyi, Pecherskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, Holosiivskyi, and Sviatoshynskyi districts of the city. Four people were reported dead, and 25 were injured.
