Attack on oil plant in Dnipro: hundreds of tonnes of sand dumped on roads to prevent oil from entering river

Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov stated this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"On the embankment near the damaged plant, the cleanup of the aftermath is ongoing. Municipal workers and heavy specialized equipment remain on site. The roads are covered with a mixture of oil and sand. Several hundred tonnes were dumped there to prevent the oil from entering the river and causing an environmental disaster," he wrote.

According to him, it is "simply impossible to drive there in anything other than a dump truck." Therefore, traffic along the embankment for all vehicles will be changed for the next few days.

Filatov called on residents to be understanding, as the work to eliminate the consequences of the Russian strike requires considerable effort.

Earlier it was reported that in Dnipro, Russians attacked a plant owned by a U.S. company, resulting in 300 tonnes of oil spilling onto the roads.
