A group of drones carried out a repeated attack late in the evening on Sunday, January 4, targeting the Energia defense plant in Russia’s Lipetsk region.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the ASTRA Telegram channel.

The Energia defense plant is on fire in the city of Yelets following the drone attack. Eyewitnesses recorded video footage showing the aftermath of the strike approximately 900 meters from the targeted facility.

This is not the first attack on the plant. On July 15, 2025, at least four drones struck the facility’s premises. Prior to that, the Energia plant had been hit by at least 12 drones.

The plant was also attacked on the night of May 23, when one of its workshops caught fire. Nine employees were injured in that incident.

The Energia plant specializes in the production of chemical power sources. Its products are widely used across various sectors, including the defense industry, civil aviation, maritime transport, and the energy sector.
