ADF neutralizes 39 out of 52 Russian drones

Ukraine's Air Defense forces shot down 39 of the 52 drones which Russia used to attack Ukraine from the evening of January 3.

According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Air Forces stated this on Telegram.

Since 19:00 on January 3, the enemy attacked with 52 strike UAVs of the Shahed and Gerber types, as well as other types of drones, from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Bryansk (Russia), and Donetsk (temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine). About 40 of them were Shahed drones.

The aerial attack was countered by aviation, surface-to-air missile units, electronic warfare and drone units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 08:00 on Sunday, January 4, air defense forces had shot down or suppressed 39 drones in northern and eastern Ukraine.

Strikes by 13 attack drones were recorded at nine locations, and wreckage from downed drones fell at one location.

As Ukrinform previously reported, in Mykolaiv district, part of the settlements was left without power due to a massive attack by Russian drones on critical infrastructure.
