Ukrainian hackers attacked the Crimean internet provider SimStar. Restoration work has been ongoing for three days.

This was reported by the Crimean Wind Telegram channel, according to Ukrinform.

“The attack on New Year's Eve left a significant number of subscribers without internet access,” the company's press service said in a statement.

It is noted that SimStar specialists have managed to partially restore access to the network, but many users remain without an internet connection.

On the morning of January 2, the company was unable to give an exact date for complete restoration.

“The consequences were dire. Restoring such infrastructure is a complex process, both technically and physically. Absolutely all employees of our group of companies and specialists are involved in the work. Such attacks do not go unnoticed by any provider,” the company said.
