During joint assault operations on the Lyman axis, fighters of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) and the Third Army Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed a regiment of the Russian army.

According to Ukrinform, the Third Army Corps reported this on Telegram and released corresponding video footage.

As a result of coordinated action, the front line was evened out and the tactical position of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the area was improved.

Over the course of the joint operation, a Russian army regiment was eliminated, and a significant number of invaders were taken prisoner.

The Third Army Corps said that the actions of Ukrainian troops deprived the enemy of room for maneuver and created the preconditions for further decisions on this axis.

"Together with the HUR, we achieved an operational and tactical result on the Lyman axis. This continues a tradition dating back to the liberation of Moshchun and a breakthrough of helicopters to Mariupol – standing shoulder to shoulder in brotherhood. I am grateful for the exemplary cooperation," Third Army Corps Commander General Andriy Biletskyi said.

"This is first and foremost the merit of the fighters and combat commanders who find solutions to any task," Viktor Torkotiuk, commander of the HUR's Artan special unit, said.

The released video shows the actions of soldiers from the 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion of the Third Army Corps, the 2nd Mechanized Battalion of the 3rd Assault Brigade, the FATUM Unmanned Systems Battalion, and HUR units.
