War update: 158 clashes on frontline over past day
According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook, as of 08:00 on Monday, December 15.
The enemy carried out 66 airstrikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, using five missiles and 166 guided bombs. In addition, the Russians conducted 4,286 shellings, including 133 with multiple rocket launchers, and deployed 6,447 kamikaze drones.
The Russian army carried out airstrikes in the areas of Baranivka in the Kharkiv region, Velykomykhailivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region, Huliaipole, Prydorozhnye, Novoboiikivske in the Zaporizhzhia region, and Odradokamyanka in the Kherson region. Aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck three areas of enemy troop concentrations, five command posts, six artillery positions, and one other important object of the Russian invaders.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, one clash occurred. The enemy carried out three airstrikes, dropping six glide bombs, and conducted 152 shellings, including six from multiple rocket launchers.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, 11 clashes occurred near Synelnykove, Prylipka, Vovchansk, and towards Kolodiazne.
In the Kupiansk sector, three Russian attacks took place. The Defense Forces repelled assaults towards Petropavlivka and Pishchane.
In the Lyman sector, the enemy attacked 13 times, attempting to advance in the areas of Novoyehorivka, Kolodiazy, Novoselivka, Serednie, and Zarichne.
In the Sloviansk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled seven enemy attacks. Russian units attempted to advance in the areas of Yampil, Serebrianka, and Pereizne.
In the Kramatorsk sector, one clash was recorded near Chasiv Yar.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, the enemy carried out 24 attacks near Oleksandro-Shultyne, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, Yablunivka, and towards Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, the Defense Forces stopped 47 assault and offensive actions by the Russian army in the areas of Shakhove, Nykanorivka, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Dachne, and towards Novopavlivka.
In the Oleksandrohrad sector, the Defense Forces repelled 17 enemy attacks near Oleksandrohrad, Novoselivka, Sosnivka, Verbove, Krasnohirsk, Pryvilne, Zlahoda, and Rybne.
In the Huliaipole sector, Russian forces carried out 13 assault actions. Ukrainian defenders repelled attacks in the areas of Solodke, Huliaipole, and towards Varvarivka.
In the Orikhiv sector, the invaders advanced once towards Prymorske.
In the Prydniprovske sector, the enemy made one unsuccessful attempt to approach Ukrainian positions near the Antonivskyi Bridge.
As Ukrinform reported, the total combat losses of Russian troops from February 24, 2022, to December 15, 2025, in the war against Ukraine amount to approximately 1,189,470 personnel, including 980 in the past day.
